New York City Weather Forecast for Sunday, Nov 6, 2005 - New York Marathon Day

Here is the most latest information on what weather forecasters are predicting the New York city weather to be on Sunday, November 6, 2005 -this year's New York City Marathon Day.

New York City temperatures on this Sunday's Marathon are likely remain in low or mid 50ºF's during the early morning hours. It is then expected to warm up a little bit during the day into mid to high 60ºF's range.

Strategies to cope with the low temperatures, and the occasional rain showers that are being forecast for this Marathon Sunday:

  • Dress in Layers of Clothing: Considering that the early morning temperatures in Staten Island is likely to be in low 50ºF range, you may want to think about adding an extra layer to your clothing.
  • Wear an external clothing layer that you can discard: There is no arrangement for collecting any clothing items that you may discard just prior to the race. All such items are going to be collected, and donated to charitable organizations for the needy.
  • Wear a Water Resistant Light Jacket: There is a slight likelihood of scattered showers during the later part of the day -late afternoon hours. However, you just cannot predict New York City weather in November. You may want to carry along a very lightweight waterproof (wind resistant) jacket, wrapped around your waste.
  • Protection For Your Eyes: You may want to wear either a cap, or a brim to help protect your eyes from the occasional rain showers, and the bright early morning sunlight.

The New York City weather forecast for this year's marathon day suggests that it is going to be not much different from the typical early November NYC weather.
