Do I need to consult with a Professional Marathon Trainer?
In almost all cases, the answer is YES! Alternatively, you will have to do your own research, and review/purchase one of the many excellent marathon training plans available in print as well as on various websites. Don't forget to consult with your physician before you start training for New York City Marathon. Marathon Training Plans vary depending upon the race distance, your current fitness level, the amount of actual training time you have available every week for your marathon training, and the actual number of weeks that you may be able to set aside for your marathon.
What is a Marathon Summer Camp?
A marathon summer camp is usually a well thought-out marathon training program (aka marathon boot camp) organized/led by an experienced marathon trainer/coach. If you are like many of us who slack off during the earlier phases of our fitness training goals and then scramble to get caught up, a New York Summer Camp may be the right cure for all your marathon training procrastination blues.
