Susan Chepkemei -an impressive marathon runner from Nairobi, Kenya -had set her personal best track record at 2:23:12, during the 2003 London Marathon. She has previously run NYC Marathon since 2001, with her personal best in NYC Marathon being 2:23:13. She was only three seconds behind Paula last year during the 2004 NYC Marathon.

Derartu Tulu -an experienced Marathoner and an Olympian who has been winning medals since as far back as 1990 - had set her personal best timing at the 2005 Helsinki marathon when she had clocked in at 2:23:30.

Congratulations, Jelena, Susan, and Derartu for your outstanding performance during the 2005 New York Marathon.
