APT Bar/Club New York : Electronica Music Club in New York City

APT is a trendy New York bar hidden behind unmarked apartment building doors, with the basement (downstairs) decor featuring subtly striped wallpapers, small side rooms and a handsome bed. Offers many drink mixes, and a variety of rich dishes. Upstairs lounge requires reservations, but the bar downstairs is open to walk-ins.

This cool party place is especially popular for girls night out events and private parties. It has a great location, an entrance that is almost completely hidden, nice decor, and great music -especially if you happen to like Electronica.

This place could be crowded at times, and is often characterized as a trendy place. Great as social scene, but not the place to be if you are looking for an exclusive romantic evening or want to show off your moves on a dance floor. On the other hand, if you are into Electronica music, APT is not a bad place to be.

Expect a $5 covercharge, and an unpredictable experience at the door especially if you don’t have confirmed reservations. And of course, expect long lines in front of only a couple of unisex bathrooms they have at APT -especially when it is crowded.

To most patrons, APT comes across as an adoring and a trendy place with sleek atmosphere especially if hip-hop/Electronica is your thing. The opinions of APT patrons seem to be highly polarized -there are those that truly love APT, and then there are those that think APT is way past its prime time and is way over-hyped.
